Would you work in the same business even if you don’t get paid?

I would!

My dream is to bring happiness to 500 million people by the year 2020.

It’s a lofty goal and a lot of people ask me: How are you planning to achieve it?

There are many ways to go about it but since I’m clear about what my goal is, I ask myself a specific question whenever I’m about to do something: Is this activity consistent with my overall goal?

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited to speak at two of the best business educational programs in Australia: Dale Beaumont’s Business Blueprint and The Entourage’s Scalable and Saleable program.

Dale Beaumont and I at his Business Blueprint event

One was on the topic of attracting and retaining the best talent by building a kickass workplace culture; the other showed how to accelerate your profits online by unlearning everything you know about online marketing.

Two very different topics but the WHY is the same. In each, the main goal is to help people become better at what they do. When people grow and progress in life, this is ultimately where happiness comes from.
Based on some of the positive feedback I have received after the event, I know that I am well on the way to achieving my ultimate BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal)!

“Dear Gary,

I wanted to write a quick note to express my sincerest thanks for opening up eyes to world of the web and the ability to do so much more than what we are currently doing with regards to tracking, conversions and how marketing if done the right way can become a profitable exercise. Thanks again!”
