Being the Best Pays Dividends for Employers

This post first appeared on BRW Australia.

No.4 ranked Best Place to Work E-Web Marketing’s chief executive Gary Ng used to spend up to $12,000 per new hire on headhunters and referral bonuses, but in the last two years he claims that’s been almost entirely eliminated.

“Word has gotten out about our positive workplace culture. We now find ourselves inundated with hundreds of high calibre job-seekers approaching us directly,” Ng says. Read More »

What happens when you send your whole company to attend a Tony Robbins event?

E-Web Crew at Unleash the Power Within

Today I want to share what I learned at my first Unleash the Power Within (UPW) event with Tony Robbins, a 4-day seminar held at Sydney Olympic Park on April 27th – April 30th. The experience was made even more special by the fact that many of my E-Web Marketing team members were there to share in this amazing journey of learning and self-discovery. One of our company’s core values is “Be passionate about learning”, and the fact that each attending E-Webber was willing to not only spend $750 for the entry cost, but a full four days of their life immersed in personal development, wasawesome. It brought me great joy to know that I am part of a team that is so dedicated. Read More »

How to Create a Culture of Lateral Thinkers – Part 2

Please click here for Part 1 of this blog post before reading on.

Is it harder for people to operate without managers to watch over their shoulders, giving directions and expecting reports? In many ways, yes. It’s easier to have someone tell you what to do. It’s easier to know exactly what’s expected of you. And it’s definitely easier to not have to take risks, or come up with new ideas, or have someone to turn to to fix it when everything suddenly goes wrong. Read More »

How to Create a Culture of Lateral Thinkers – Part 1

boxed-employee-300x213 “Do not confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress.” – Alfred A. Montapert Today I want to share some simple shifts you can implement in your business to build a team of lateral thinkers, instead of fostering a culture made up of doers. You can’t afford to have staff who look at their work and their life as a series of tasks, and who aren’t expected to solve problems creatively. If you do, then you have people who are playing the game on a lower level, and who will always look to you to provide the higher level strategies for business growth. Not a very sustainable approach. Business Mastery with Anthony Robbins – Day 4

Hello, everyone. Day Four has just finished. Actually it finished a few hours ago and it’s 2:00 in the morning now. I think it finished around 10:30 or so. Went to dinner with a few of the guys that I’ve met at the Business Mastery, and I must admit a few of these are people I’ve met and formed a relationship with that I’m confident that will be my friends for life. Whether we stay in contact every single day or not, they hold a very special place in my heart, and they’ve helped me grow as a person during the session. And we’ve helped each other make a lot of breakthroughs.

Business Mastery with Anthony Robbins – Day 3

Good morning, everyone. It’s 1:30 in the morning, and I had another awesome day at Business Mastery. I’ve learned a lot today and had a lot of significant breakthroughs. So what am I going to share with you? I’ll go for some of the things that we’ve learned today, but some of the stuff you just need to be there in person, so I really encourage you to go. I know that the cost of Business Mastery—it cost me around, like, $10,000 – is quite significant, but they give you the guarantee that if you don’t feel you can make a million dollars after your first day, they’ll give you a full refund. If you actually execute the stuff that they teach you, it’s well worth over a million dollars, and the friendship from the people you meet and just being around some of these great masters and seeing what they do – it really changes your life and your business life, so I really encourage you guys to go.

Business Mastery with Anthony Robbins – Day 2

Hello, everyone. Speaking from Melbourne. This is the end of Day Two of Business Mastery. It’s 1:22 in the morning. And I actually finished a lot earlier. We started the day at 10am, the first lunch break was at around 5pm, and the event actually finished at 10pm. But today, the main enjoyment I got out of the events is that I met a lot of people that I guess are going to become great friends, or I’ve already become great friends and connected with them, and some of them are going to be helping out with my business as well and taking it to great heights. So I’m really excited about some of these friendships and partnerships that I can carry on for the rest of my life.
